New York Rangers goalie Ondrej Pavelec was not "Born in the USA" but that didn't stop him from paying tribute to the man who penned the song.

Pavelec, a native of Kladno, Czech Republic, added some local flavor to his new mask, including rock 'n' roll legend Bruce Springsteen.

Dave Gunnarsson of

shared Pavelec's unique new lid on Instagram. It features some iconic Springsteen images like the album cover of "The River" on the right side of the chin and the photo of Springsteen and Clarence Clemons from album cover of "Born to Run" over the right ear.
The left side is exclusively Bruce while the part above the cage features the New York skyline, perhaps from the vantage point of Springsteen's native New Jersey, and a massive "NYR."
According to Gunnarsson's post, the mask was the goalie's idea as he referred to "The Boss" as Pavelec's "musical idol."
With this new bucket, maybe the Rangers backup will have some "Glory Days" this season.
