TORONTO (CP) - Evan Brophey scored twice and added an assist as the Plymouth Whalers downed the Toronto-St. Michael's Majors 6-3 in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday.
Brophey scored the winner at 15:37 of the third, breaking a 3-3 tie. He raced down the ice on a two-on-one, taking a feed from Jared Boll and lifting a shot over the pad of goalie Chris Carrozzi.
The win gave Plymouth a perfect 3-0 record in weekend action. It was the Majors' 12th-straight loss.
Al Jenks also scored twice for the Whalers (33-12-1-2), while James Neal and Tom Sestito added a goal each.
Plymouth entered the period with a 3-0 lead, but the Majors (14-32-1-1) stormed back for the three unanswered goals by Jesse Messier, Cassidy Preston and Matt Caria.
Carrozzi made 46 saves while Jeremy Smith had 39 stops for the win.
