Broncos snap 5-game losing streak with 4-2 win over the Tigers

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Graeme Craig's power-play goal in the second period stood as the game winner as the Swift Current Broncos defeated the visiting Medicine Hat Tigers 4-2 on Sunday in Western Hockey League action.

Christian Magnus and Ryon Moser each had a goal and an assist for the Broncos (15-19-5) while Daniel Dale scored the other.

Curtis Valk and James Bettauer responded for the Tigers (23-13-4), who had their five-game winning streak snapped.

Jon Groenheyde made 32 saves for the win as Tyler Bunz allowed three goals on 16 shots before being replaced in the second period by Kenny Cameron. Cameron stopped all seven shots he faced in relief.

Swift Current went 1 for 3 on the power play while Medicine Hat failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.

The victory ends a five-game losing streak for the Broncos.
