Broncos score four unanswered goals in 5-1 win over Regina

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - The Swift Current Broncos moved into a Western Hockey League East Division first-place tie with Regina on Tuesday after skating to a 5-1 win over the visiting Pats.

The Broncos scored four unanswered goals in the final two periods, including three straight goals during a 11:05 span in the third period. Swift Current had goals from Dale Weise, Erik Felde, Michael Wilson, Keegan Dansereau, with his 10th of the season, and Ryan Molle, with his first of the year.

Jared Jagow had the lone Regina goal on a first period power play.

Broncos netminder Travis Yonkman posted his eighth win of the season with a 19 save performance.

Pats netminder Linden Rowat drops to 9-5 on the year after yielding five goals on 30 shots.

The teams combined for 137 minutes in penalties, with most of the infractions whistled in the third period when there were four fights.

Swift Current improved their record to 11-4-0-2 with 24 points, equalling the point total of the 12-6-0-0 Pats, who have played one more game than the Broncos.
