Goalie Martin Brodeur will make his first start at Scottrade Center for the St. Louis Blues on Monday against the Florida Panthers after playing twice for St. Louis on the road.
Brodeur, who earned his all-time leading 689th win Saturday against the New York Islanders after playing two periods in relief of Jake Allen, signed a one-year contract with St. Louis on Dec. 2. He made 20 saves in his first start for the Blues on Dec. 4, a 4-3 loss to the Nashville Predators.
"My first time with the new home crowd. I'm looking forward to it," Brodeur said Sunday during a KMOX radio interview.
Brodeur was brought in for a tryout and later signed after Blues starter Brian Elliott sustained a lower-body injury. Elliott is considered week-to-week.
