Brodeur paves way to goaltending immortality

Martin Brodeur of the New Jersey Devils is closing in on several big-time NHL records, most notably most career victories and most career shutouts.

Brodeur already is regarded as one of the game's greatest players, having won 3 Stanley Cups, 1 Olympic gold medal, and a World Cup title in 2004. Brodeur also has won the Calder Trophy as the NHL's top rookie, 4 William M. Jennings Trophies, 4 Vezina Trophies as the League's top goalie and been named to 7 NHL All-Star Teams.
