Brodeur, Jokinen, Crosby earn the NHL's three stars of the week @NHLdotcom

NEW YORK - A record performance by Martin Brodeur has earned the New Jersey Devils goaltender the NHL's first star of the week.

Brodeur tied Patrick Roy as the NHL's all-time victories leader and helped the Devils continue their charge up the Eastern Conference standings, posting a 3-0-0 record with a 1.67 goals-against average and .943 save percentage.

Calgary Flames centre Olli Jokinen and Pittsburgh Penguins centre Sidney Crosby were named the league's second and third stars.

Brodeur has won seven of eight starts since returning from a torn biceps tendon that required surgery, backstopping the Devils to within six points of the first-place Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference standings.

He has a chance to pass Roy in all-time victories Tuesday when the Devils face the Chicago Blackhawks.

Jokinen led the league in scoring for the week with six goals and two assists in the final leg of Calgary's season-long seven-game road trip.

Crosby scored two goals and added six assists last week as the Penguins earned points in four consecutive games (2-0-2) and moved up to fifth in the Eastern Conference standings.
