Broda scores two as Moose Jaw snaps losing skid with 5-4 win over the Raiders

MOOSE JAW, Sask. - Joel Broda scored a natural hat trick as the Moose Jaw Warriors found the net four times in the third period to edge the Prince Albert Raiders 5-4 on Friday night in the Western Hockey League.

The win snapped a six-game losing streak for the Warriors. Justin Bernhardt scored three goals for the Raiders (11-12-0-0) and Dustin Cameron had a goal and two assists as Prince Albert carried a 3-0 lead into the second period.

Jason Bast scored his eighth of the season for the Warriors (6-11-0-1) and Thomas Frazee got the comeback started early in the third period.

Prince Albert goalie Steve Stanford stopped 36 shots by the Warriors including a Quinton Howden penalty shot when the Raiders were still clinging to a 4-3 lead.

Moose Jaw goalie Todd Mathews stopped 22 shots to earn the win.
