Brett Stone scores shootout winner as Calgary beats Moose Jaw 6-5

MOOSE JAW, Sask. - Brett Stone's shootout slapshot goal was the difference as the Calgary Hitmen beat the Moose Jaw Warriors 6-5 in WHL action Friday night.

Stone and Chase Schaber were the only shootout scorers as Hitmen (44-17-1-3) goalie Dan Spence stopped both Warriors' (32-18-6-7) shots.

Ian Duval had a goal and two assists for the Hitmen, while Stone, Brett Sonne, Kyle Bortis and Casron McMillan also scored.

Jason Bast had a pair of goals for the Warriors, while Ty Wishart, Neal Prokop and Giffen Nyren also scored.

Moose Jaw's starting goalie Joey Perricone was replaced after a first period where he allowed seven goals on 10 shots. Todd Mathews made 16 saves in relief. Spence made 30 saves plus the pair in the shootout.
