Brett Ritchie, Nail Yakupov and Charlie Sarault each score goal and two assists @NHLdotcom

SARNIA, Ont. - Brett Ritchie, Nail Yakupov and Charlie Sarault each scored once and added two assists as the Sarnia Sting opened their Ontario Hockey League season with a 5-2 win over the Erie Otters Friday night.

Alex Basso added a goal and an assist for Erie (1-0-0), while Craig Hottot rounded out the scoring for Sarnia, who scored three in the third, making a winner of new head coach and GM Jacques Beaulieu in his Sting debut.

"The second period I thought we didn't play well at all," said Beaulieu. "I thought we were selfish and turned the puck over. We addressed it and I thought they came out and played real well in the third."

Sondre Olden and Chris Marchese scored for the Otters (0-1-0), while Connor Brown chipped in with two assists.

Netminder Chris Festarini made 35 saves for Erie, while Brandon Maxwell stopped 28 for Sarnia.
