Brett MacLean scores twice as the Generals beat the Storm 3-2 @NHLdotcom

OSHAWA, Ont. - Brett MacLean scored once in regulation and once more in the shootout as the Oshawa Generals defeated the Guelph Storm 3-2 Friday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

MacLean's third period tally was his league-leading 38th of the year. He also added an assist and is now tied with teammate John Tavares at the top of the league's scoring chart with 68 points. Tavares is with the Canadian world junior team.

Michael Del Zotto provided the other Oshawa goal with a short-handed marker in the second period.

Brandon Buck and Anthony Nigro replied for the Storm.

Daryl Borden made 27 saves in regulation and three more in the shootout, while Thomas McCollum stopped 31 shots for Guelph.

The Generals improve to 21-9-1-3 with the win, while the Storm drop to 13-15-4-2.
