Brett MacLean scores four goals as Oshawa beats Brampton 6-3

BRAMPTON, Ont. - Brett MacLean scored four goals and Shea Kewin scored twice as the Oshawa Generals beat the Brampton Battalion 6-3 in Ontario Hockey League action Friday evening.

After a goal-less first period, Shea Kewin scored twice in four minutes to give the Generals a 2-1 lead halfway through the middle stanza.

John Hughes found the net for Brampton 28 seconds after Kewin opened the scoring, tying the game at one.

Following Kewin's second of the night which made it 2-1 for the visitors, Cody Hodgson and Luke Lynes replied for the Battalion (9-6-0-2), giving the home side a 3-2 lead with 3:28 remaining in the second period. Hodgson and Lynes each finished with two points on the evening.

But, then MacLean took over, tying the game on the power play at 18:15 of the second, then adding three more in the final frame before all was said and done. John Tavares registered two assists for Oshawa (11-5-0-1).

Bryan Pitton made 37 saves for the Battalion, while Daryl Borden also turned away 37 shots for the Generals.
