OSHAWA, Ont. - Brett MacLean's league-leading 50th goal of the year helped lift the Oshawa Generals to a 7-5 victory over the Owen Sound Attack Sunday afternoon.
MacLean batted a rebound out of mid air past Owen Sound's Tyler Beskorowany with just under eight minutes remaining in the third period. The goal capped the Generals rally as they trailed 5-2 after 40 minutes before scoring four straight on Beskorowany and another into an empty net.
Corey Cowick and Shea Kewin each scored twice for the Generals, while singles were provided by Eric Regan and Patrick Asselin, in addition to MacLean's marker.
Michal Neuvirth made his return after missing a couple weeks with a leg injury and made 18 saves for the Generals, while Beskorowany blocked 35 at the other end.
Scoring for Owen Sound was Joey Hishon, Michael Farrell, Lane MacDermid, Frankie Santini and Chris Mackinnon.
With the win, Oshawa improves to 32-12-2-4, while Owen Sound drops to 20-28-2-2.
