Brett MacLean leads the Generals to a 4-1 victory over the Petes @NHLdotcom

OSHAWA, Ont. - Brett MacLean continued a remarkable month of November with two goals and an assist Sunday, leading the Oshawa Generals to a 4-1 win over the Peterborough Petes.

MacLean scored the game's final two goals, giving him 14 goals in six games this month and 21 in 16 games for the season.

John Tavares improved his league-leading totals to 21-27-48 with a goal and an assist, but he missed most of the third period after being assessed a kneeing major and game misconduct.

Brett Parnham scored Oshawa's (13-5-0-2) other goal, while Dale Mitchell had three assists.

Petes captain John Armstrong opened the scoring early in the second period on a five-on-three power play before the Generals responded with three goals shortly thereafter.

The Petes (9-9-0-1) outshot the Generals 42-36, but had trouble solving Oshawa goalie Jakub Kovar. Trevor Cann was in goal for the Petes.

The Petes scored once on seven power plays, while the Generals were two-for-six with the man advantage.
