REGINA - Brent Parker is relinquishing his GM duties with the Regina Pats to become president and governor of the Western Hockey League team.
"It has been an honour and a privilege to have been the general manager of this storied franchise," Parker said in a release Friday. "It is time for a new chapter in the team's history."
The search for a new general manager is underway. Parker spent 15 years as GM.
The Pats (30-35-7) finished last in the WHL's East Division this season with 67 points.
