Brent Burns looked as good as gold.

The Carolina Hurricanes defenseman rocked a pair of skates with golden blades on Saturday for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Florida Panthers at PNC Arena.

Sportsnet announcers Chris Cuthbert and Craig Simpson couldn't get enough of the unique choice, noting that golden skate blades are an unlockable in the popular EA Sports "NHL23" video game.

It wasn't the first time Burns went to the unique skates, which feature the golden steel with the Hurricanes logo and his name on the side.
