CALGARY - Brendan Rowinski's second-period power play goal stood up as the game winner as the Calgary Hitmen downed the Chilliwack Bruins 3-1 in WHL action on Friday night.
Michael Stone also scored for Calgary (28-5-1-1), which went two for five on the man advantage. Brandon Kozun added an empty net goal for the Hitmen, who have won three straight games.
Brandon Manning scored the lone goal for the Bruins (10-21-2-2), who converted one of two power-play opportunities.
Rookie Hitmen goalie Michael Snider made 21 saves to improve his record to 6-0-0, while Chilliwack netminder Mark Friesen stopped 31 of 33 shots fired his way at the other end.
