Brendan Ranford scores three goals as Blazers hammer Chiefs 8-1 @NHLdotcom

KAMLOOPS, B.C. - Brendan Ranford had a hat trick and the Kamloops Blazers scored on their first two shots en route to an 8-1 victory over the Spokane Chiefs in Western Hockey League action Tuesday.

Ryan Hanes, Ryan Funk, C.J. Stretch, Matej Bene and Dalibor Bortnak also scored for the Blazers (24-23-5).

Dominik Uher had the only goal for the Chiefs (27-18-4).

Kamloops goaltender Kurtis Mucha stopped 26 shots. Spokane goaltenders Michael Tadjdeh and James Reid, each of whom made two appearances, combined to make 19 saves.
