Well, that was a tough week.
My confidence is pretty low at the moment. I'm thinking about just going against my better judgment and picking the opposite team that I want. But I guess I've got to believe in myself for one more week, get back to my previous week and get back to the winning side.
The guys were giving it to me pretty good when I began with a perfect week. But it's more so now, especially Nathan Beaulieu. I was pretty cocky around him, walking around calling myself the NFL Insider. Plus I picked against his Carolina Panthers, so he was very happy to give it to me a little bit.
That Carolina game is what threw me; that was a tough pick. I definitely thought the Seattle Seahawks would put up more of a fight.
The New England Patriots game I can kind of understand because that was the way I saw it playing out. I just thought if the Patriots get the ball at the end they'll score. Rob Gronkowski was open. Tom Brady blew it for me but we won't go there. Throw the ball to Gronk. But we won't go there.
So that allowed the Denver Broncos to get to this stage and give their quarterback, Peyton Manning, what might be a final shot at his second Super Bowl in his fifth trip to the big game.
But I don't think he's going to get it.

Gally's pick: Panthers
I've got one reason to pick Carolina. The reason Denver was able to beat the Patriots was because Brady had no time to throw. I believe Panthers quarterback Cam Newton's ability to move around will neutralize the Broncos' pass rush. Even if his offensive line falters a little bit Newton will be able to buy himself a little bit more time and allow receivers to get open. So I think that's the reason the Panthers will be able to score points; at least enough points to be able to beat Denver.
