Brandon Wheat Kings forward Mark Stone named WHL player of the week @NHLdotcom

CALGARY - Brandon Wheat Kings forward Mark Stone was been named the Western Hockey League's player of the week Monday.

Stone had nine points (four goals, five assists) in three games last week with a plus-3 rating.

The WHL also nominated Nathan Lieuwen of the Kootenay Ice for the Canadian Hockey League's goaltender of the week.

Lieuwen post a 1-1-0 record with a shutout, stopping 47-of-50 shots faced for a 1.51 goals against average and a .940 save percentage.
