Brandon strikes three times in third in 5-2 win over Seattle

SEATTLE, Wash. - The Brandon Wheat Kings blew open a close game with three quick third-period goals in a 5-2 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds in Western Hockey League action Sunday.

Daniel Bartek, Jay Fehr and Brayden Schenn had the third period goals to break open a 2-2 tie. Andrew Clark and Matt Calvert also scored for Brandon (9-6-0-1). Ian McKenzie and Sena Acolotse, with the first of his WHL career, scored for Seattle (6-3-2-1).

Joe Caligiuri stopped 30 shots for Brandon while Riku Helenius made 30 saves for Seattle.
