Brandon forward Tyler Dittmer named CHL player of the week

TORONTO - Brandon Wheat Kings forward Tyler Dittmer was named Canadian Hockey League player of the week on Tuesday.

He had five goals and two assists for seven points in two games last week.

Dittmer recorded a hat trick in a 5-2 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes last Saturday. He had a four-point effort the next day in a 4-3 victory over the Kootenay Ice.

Dustin Jeffrey of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds was the Ontario Hockey League nominee. He had three goals and six assists for nine points in three games.

Francis Pare of the Chicoutimi Sagueneens was the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League nominee. He had three goals and four assists for seven points in three games.
