CALGARY - Max Brandl scored twice to lead the Prince Albert Raiders to a 5-2 win over the Calgary Hitmen in Western Hockey League action Wednesday night.
Ryan McDonald set up both of Brandl's goals and then scored in the third period for the Raiders (7-11-2-0), who skated to their second straight victory. Justin Bernhardt also scored for Prince Albert, while Devon LeBlanc added an empty netter. T.J. Galiardi and Ian Duval countered for the Hitmen (12-8-0-1), who have lost two straight games and five of their last six.
Prince Albert goalie Steven Stanford, who hails from Calgary, stopped 35 of 37 shots he faced to improve his record to 2-3-0. Calgary netminder Dan Spence made 21 saves in a losing cause.
