Branden Troock scores twice as Seattle Thunderbirds beat Victoria Royals @NHLdotcom

KENT, Wash. - Branden Troock scored twice and Justin Hickman, Dave Sutter and Mitch Elliot all added their first goals of the season Saturday as the Seattle Thunderbirds downed the Victoria Royals 5-4 in the Western Hockey League.

Seattle (1-3-0) got goals from Hickman, Sutter and Elliot on its first three shots of the game against Victoria netminder Braden Gamble, who was pulled in favour of Keith Hamilton.

Troock scored his second of the season at 6:40 of the third and added the game winner unassisted at 17:03.

Victoria (4-4-0) got goals from Hayden Rintoul, Kade Pilton, Kevin Sundher and Austin Carroll.

Calvin Pickard made 39 saves in the victory, while Hamilton stopped 27 shots in taking the loss.
