BRAMPTON, Ont. - Barclay Goodrow's third period goal ended Brampton's four-game slide as the Battalion marched to a 3-2 win over the Plymouth Whalers in Ontario Hockey League play Sunday afternoon.

Thomas Stajan and Sam Carrick both scored for Brampton (6-8-2), and Patrick Killeen made 18 saves.

Joe Gaynor and Myles McCauley had a goal each for Plymouth (10-7-0), while goaltender -Scott Wedgewood stopped 31 shots.

Plymouth opened the scoring 17:27 into the first period when Gaynor, positioned in the slot, took a pass from Stefan Noesen behind the net and snapped one past Killeen.

Brampton pulled even just over a minute later when Sean Jones fed Stajan down low. Stajan's shot trickled past Wedgewood as the Plymouth netminder only got a piece of the puck.

The only goal of the second period was an unassisted effort by McCauley, which put the visitors ahead after 40 minutes.

After Carrick tied the game at the 9:54 mark, Goodrow converted on a Matt MacLeod pass and went high on Wedgewood.
