CALGARY - Brandon Kozun had a goal and three assists to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 7-2 win over the Red Deer Rebels in Western Hockey League action Friday.

Brett Sonne scored twice for the Hitmen (53-7-3-1), who won their 10th straight game and established a new franchise record with their 31st win of the season on home ice.

Joel Broda and Michael Stone each chipped in with a goal and two assists, Bostjan Golicic scored once and set up another, while Keith Seabrook added the other.

Luke Egener and Colin Archer scored for the Rebels (19-33-1-8), who have gone winless against the Hitmen in five games this season. The same two teams play each other for the final time this season in Red Deer on Saturday night.

Calgary goalie Martin Jones made 27 saves to record his 40th win and set a new franchise record for most wins by a Hitmen goalie in a season.

Jones, who stopped a penalty shot by Red Deer's Landon Ferraro in the first period, broke the old mark of 39 set by Alexandre Fomitchev in the 1997-98 season.

Red Deer goalie Darcy Kuemper stopped 23 of 29 shots he faced in a losing cause. Back-up netminder Cam Gorchynski played the final 3:05 of the first period and stopped one of two shots he faced.
