NEW YORK - Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand has been suspended for five games, without pay, for elbowing New Jersey Devils forward Marcus Johansson during NHL Game No. 732 in Boston on Tuesday, Jan. 23, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 18:01 of the third period.
Marchand is considered a repeat offender under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, will forfeit $373,475.60. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
