Brad Boyes, Chris Mason lead St. Louis Blues past Chicago Blackhawks @NHL

ST. LOUIS - Brad Boyes scored the lone goal early in the third period, and Chris Mason made 22 saves to shut out the Chicago Blackhawks for the second straight time in the St. Louis Blues' 1-0 victory Friday night.

Boyes scored on a 4-on-3 power play, converting a one-timer from the left circle 57 seconds into the third period.

Chicago's Adam Burish was in the box for a slashing penalty at the end of the second period after offsetting roughing penalties on the Blues' Barret Jackman and the Hawks' Colin Fraser.

McDonald's cross-ice feed to Boyes into the left circle led to the shot that Cristobal Huet seemed to get a piece, but still found its way into the net.
