CALGARY - Collin Bowman scored a power-play goal at 5:09 of the third period to lead the Kelowna Rockets to a 2-1 win over the Calgary Hitmen in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.

Cody Almond also scored for the Rockets (40-21-1-3), who ended Calgary's 12-game winning streak and avenged a 4-3 loss they suffered to the Hitmen in Kelowna earlier this season on December 14.

Tomas Karpov scored the lone goal for the Hitmen (55-8-3-1), who lost for just the third time in regulation at the Pengrowth Saddledome. The Hitmen failed in their bid to tie a league record with their 33rd home-ice victory of the season.

Kelowna goalie Mark Guggenberger stopped 34 of 35 shots he faced, while Calgary netminder Martin Jones finished with 15 saves at the other end.
