BRUINS PARTNER WITH GIFFORD'S FAMOUS ICE CREAM:The Boston Bruins and Gifford's Famous Ice Cream, of Skowhegan, Maine, have entered into a three-year partnership. A cornerstone of the new partnership is the introduction of a custom new ice cream flavor - called Power Play Fudge - made by Gifford's and dedicated to the Boston Bruins. The new flavor, described as "a crushed chocolate cookie advantage in a shift of golden vanilla ice cream full of fudge-filled chocolate pucks and crossed with a milk-fudge ribbon," was dreamed up by the Gifford's family as a special tribute to their favorite ice hockey team.

Power Play Fudge will be sold at Star Market, Shaw's, Hannaford, Wegman's, and Market Basket stores in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine.
HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER PRESENTED BY LAHEY HEALTH: The Boston Bruins will host Hockey Fights Cancer Night presented by Lahey Health on Tuesday, October 25 when they take on the Minnesota Wild. Season ticket holders have kindly donated tickets for current pediatric patients, cancer survivors, and individuals who are supporters of those affected by cancer.
Lavender, which represents awareness for all forms of cancer, will be incorporated into the game in several ways. The Bruins coaches, management, as well as NESN and 98.5 The Sports Hub broadcasters will all be wearing lavender Hockey Fights Cancer ties. Bruins players will be using lavender stick tape during Thursday's game and will have Hockey Fight Cancer helmet decals throughout the month of October. Boston Bruins employees will also be wearing lavender ribbons.
The Boston Bruins Foundation will be raffling and auctioning off the team signed, warm-up worn purple jerseys both in-game and online following the game. Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle will benefit the Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care.
Tommy Scardina, a 9-year-old boy from Marshfield, MA who was recently diagnosed with NUT Midline Carcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer, will be participating in the ceremonial puck drop prior to the game. Tommy is undergoing treatment at Dana Faber and Boston Children's Hospital. The 8-Spoked Salute will honor cancer survivor and Worcester Police Officer Jonathan Daige who served in Iraq in the U.S. Army Reserves. Many cancer survivors will be in attendance, like National Anthem singer Carlie Gonzalez, who was diagnosed with localized Ewing Sarcoma last October.
