NEW YORK- Boston Bruins forward Jake DeBrusk has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for cross-checking New York Islanders defenseman Scott Mayfield during Game 2 of the teams' Second Round series in Boston on Monday, May 31, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 13:04 of the third period.
The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
