Boston, which has lost two straight, will be without center Patrice Bergeron, who will miss his fourth consecutive game with a lower-body injury.
Louis Domingue is expected to start in goal for the Coyotes in place of Antti Raanta, who left a 4-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday with a lower-body injury. Raanta did not practice Friday.
Anton Khudobin will make his first start in goal for Boston. He replaced Tuukka Rask after two periods in a 6-3 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday, making nine saves.
Players to watch
Bruins forward Brad Marchand has two goals and three points in three games. He has six goals and 11 points in 11 career games against the Coyotes.
Coyotes rookie forward Clayton Keller has three goals, four points and 15 shots on goal in his first four games. Keller is tied for third among rookies in points.

Bergeron skated on his own Friday and Cassidy said he'd like to see him take part in a full practice before returning to the lineup. … Cassidy said Backes has resumed skating but is still out indefinitely. … Connauton practiced Friday but coach Rick Tocchet wasn't sure if the defenseman was ready to return. He will be a game-time decision.
