The Tampa Bay Lightning
may be without defenseman Victor Hedman
for a bit.
Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman
confirmed Saturday night that Hedman -- the No. 2 selection at the 2009 NHL Draft -- is out indefinitely with a concussion.
Hedman, 21, suffered the injury on Dec. 27 against Philadelphia. While there is no timetable for his return, Yzerman said that the 6-foot-6, 229-pound defenseman is participating in normal day-to-day activities.
Hedman has two goals, four assists and a minus-12 rating in 32 games this season.
