Boedker gets overtime winner to lift Rangers over Attack 5-4

OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Mikkel Boedker scored at 2:23 in overtime to give the Kitchener Rangers a 5-4 win over the Owen Sound Attack Saturday night in OHL action.

Boedker scored his third of the year on a overtime power-play with a feed from Justin Azevedo, who scored a power-play goal in the first period for his sixth on the year.

T.J. Battani, Matt Halischuk, and Scott Timmins also recorded singles for the Rangers (6-1-0-0), who went 2-for-8 with an extra attacker.

Lane MacDermid, Marco Franchini, Wayne Simmonds and Matt Carter had goals for Owen Sound (1-8-1-0).

Despite the loss David Davenport was impressive in net, blocking 45 of 50 shots for Owen Sound, while Mavric Parks gets the win for Kitchener with a 32-save performance.
