St. Louis Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said he would announce his starting goaltender for Game 7 of the Western Conference Second Round against the Dallas Stars before the game Wednesday (8 p.m. ET; NBCSN, SN, TVA Sports).

The best-of-7 series is tied 3-3 after the Stars defeated the Blues 3-2 in Game 6 on Monday.

Brian Elliott started that game but was pulled with 3:11 remaining in the first period after allowing three goals on seven shots.

In 13 games, Elliott is 7-6 with a 2.39 goals-against average and .926 save percentage.

Jake Allen replaced Elliott in Game 6 and made seven saves. It was Allen's first game since April 3. He missed the final three games of the regular season with a lower-body injury but was Elliott's backup through the Blues' first 13 games of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
