The St. Louis Blues
have re-signed forward T.J. Oshie
to a one-year contract, avoiding the possibility of seeing another team offer the restricted free agent an offer sheet. Terms of the contract were not released, but TSN is reporting its value at $2.35 million.
"We're excited to have T.J. in the fold for another season," Blues General Manager Doug Armstrong said in a team-issued statement. "His energy and versatility make him an integral part of our club."
An ankle injury limited him to just 49 games, but he still managed 12 goals and 22 assists.
The Blues drafted Oshie with the 24th pick of 2005 Entry Draft. In three NHL seasons, Oshie has 44 goals and 77 assists in 182 games.
