Tage Thompson, the Blues' first-round pick in last year's Draft, played at the collegiate, AHL and international levels last season.
The sophomore led the University of Connecticut in scoring with 32 points (19 goals, 13 assists) in 34 games, earning a spot on the Hockey East Third All-Star Team. He garnered a nomination for the 2017 Hobey Baker Award and was a semifinalist for the Walter Brown Award.
After signing a three-year entry level deal with the Blues in March, Thompson reported to the Chicago Wolves to begin his pro career. He notched two points in 16 games, including his first professional goal on April 1 and recorded three points (two goals, one assist) in 10 playoff games.
Thompson suited up for the USA U20 team at the World Junior Championships, collecting five points in seven games to help his squad capture gold.
