The St. Louis Blues on Friday loaned forward Ivan Barbashev to his junior team, the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Barbashev, 18, was the Blues' second-round pick (No. 33) in the 2014 NHL Draft. He made his preseason debut Thursday and played 10:32 in a 5-4 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Barbashev has played the past two seasons in Moncton, scoring 43 goals and 130 points in 116 regular-season games.
St. Louis also assigned 11 players to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League: forwards Rob Bordson, Terry Broadhurst, Jacob Doty, Benn Ferriero, Zach Pochiro, Ryan Tesink and Yannick Veilleux, defensemen Mathieu Brodeur, Joel Edmundson and Jani Hakanpaa, and goaltender Niklas Lundstrom.
The Blues have 41 players remaining on their training camp roster.
Goalies John Curry and Johan Gustafsson were among 12 players reassigned by the Minnesota Wild on Friday, bringing their training camp roster down to 39 players.
Curry played in two NHL games last season and recorded a win in his only start, making 43 saves on April 10 in a 4-2 win against the St. Louis Blues. He and Gustafsson were sent to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League.
Also reassigned to Iowa were defenseman Corbin Baldwin, Alex Gudbranson and Colton Jobke, and forwards Brady Brassart, Raphael Bussieres, Kurtis Gabriel, Zack Mitchell and Ryan Walters.
The Wild assigned defenseman Dylan Labbe to Shawinigan of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and defenseman Hunter Warner to Prince Albert of the Western Hockey League.
The Philadelphia Flyers on Friday assigned forwards Darroll Powe and Taylor Leier to Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League.
The Flyers placed defensemen Oliver Lauridsen and Brandon Manning, and forward Andrew Gordon on waivers for the purpose of assigning them to Lehigh Valley on Saturday.

The Chicago Blackhawks on Friday assigned forwards Alex Broadhurst, Drew LeBlanc and Mark McNeill and defensemen Mathieu Brisebois, Dillon Fournier and Viktor Svedberg to Rockford of the American Hockey League.

The Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday trimmed their training camp roster by reassigning eight players.
They sent goaltender Anton Forsberg, defensemen Hubert Labrie and Thomas Larkin, and forwards Lukas Sedlak, Trent Vogelhuber and Riley Wetmore to Springfield of the American Hockey League.
Defenseman Dillon Heatherington was reassigned to Swift Current of the Western Hockey League and forward Nick Moutrey to Saginaw of the Ontario Hockey League.
The Blue Jackets have 42 players on their training camp roster.
The Buffalo Sabres on Friday assigned 11 players to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League and returned two players to their junior team.
Forwards Luke Adam, William Carrier, Daniel Catenacci, Colin Jacobs, Justin Kea, Jordan Samuels-Thomas, Kevin Sundher and Philip Varone, and defensemen Brady Austin, Jerome Leduc and Chad Ruhwedel were assigned to Rochester.
