St. Louis Blues center Jori Lehtera, who was taken to the hospital Tuesday after taking a stick to the throat area, will be a game-time decision Thursday when the Blues host the Buffalo Sabres.
Lehtera will participate in the pregame skate before his status is determined, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
Lehtera left the game against the Columbus Blue Jackets with 8:27 left in the first period after Columbus forward Brandon Saad's stick hit him in the throat area. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
Lehtera, 27, has two goals and 10 points in 19 games this season.
