Blues get Hensick from Avs @NHLdotcom
The Colorado Avalanche sent the rights to forward T.J. Hensick to the St. Louis Blues on Thursday in exchange for the rights to forward Julian Talbot.

Hensick, 24, played seven games for the Avs in 2009-10, scoring once and adding a pair of assists. He spent most of the season with Lake Erie of the AHL, scoring 20 goals and 70 points in 50 games. The Lansing, Mich., native has 11 goals and 35 points in 99 games with the Avs during the past three seasons after spending four seasons playing for the University of Michigan. He was Colorado's third-round pick (No. 88) in the 2005 draft.

Talbot, 25, has spent the last three seasons with the Blues' AHL team in Peoria after signing with St. Louis as a free agent in 2008. He had 17 goals and 32 points in 76 games for the Rivermen in 2009-10, along with 34 penalty minutes.
