On March 15, 2003, Chris Osgood made his Blues debut at Nashville one to remember.
Osgood stopped all 35 shots he faced to help the Blues to a 1-0 win, becoming the first goalie in Blues history to get a shutout in his debut with the club.

The Blues had acquired Osgood just four days earlier from the New York Islanders in exchange for a third-round draft pick in 2003 (Jeremy Colliton) and forward Justin Papineau.
Osgood became the fifth Blues goalie to post a shutout during the 2002-03 season, setting a new single-season NHL record for the most goaltenders to record a shutout with one team in a season. The other four goaltenders to record a shutout that season were Fred Brathwaite (two), Brent Johnson (two), Curtis Sanford (one) and Tom Barrasso (one).
The Blues shared fifth in the NHL that season with eight shutouts overall.
Osgood went on to play 76 games during his career with the Blues, posting a 35-28-10 record with a 2.34 goals-against average, a .907 save-percentage and five shutouts.
