Blues defenceman Erik Johnson out indefinitely with torn ACL, MCL @NHLdotcom

ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Blues defenceman Erik Johnson's right knee injury may be more serious than it initially seemed.

Johnson will be out indefinitely with a torn ACL and MCL, the team announced Tuesday. Blues president John Davidson said last week that the former first overall pick hurt his right knee in a non-hockey related incident.

At the time, the team said he would miss three days of training camp before being re-evaluated.

The 20-year-old had five goals and 28 assists in 69 games for the Blues last season, his rookie year.
