Blues captain Eric Brewer to have back surgery; out indefinitely

ST. LOUIS - Blues captain Eric Brewer will undergo back surgery on Friday and will be out the team's lineup indefinitely, the club announced Thursday.

The St. Louis blue-liner will have surgery on a herniated disc.

The surgery will be performed by Dr. Timothy Kuklo, MD., JD., at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Brewer, who has one goal and five assists this season, last played on Dec. 11 against the Kings in Los Angeles.
