COL@STL, Gm5: Retired anthem singer returns to arena

He's back like he never left.

Charles Glenn, the popular anthem singer for the St. Louis Blues who
retired in 2019
after the team won the Stanley Cup, returned to Enterprise Center on Friday for a command performance before Game 6 of the Western Conference Second Round against the Colorado Avalanche.
Glenn, a
legend in St. Louis
, came out of retirement during
the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs
to sing once more before the team's first home game of the playoffs.
During their run to the Cup title, Glenn also performed "Gloria" -- the 1982 pop hit that became the team's victory song that season -- for a hospital nursery full of
babies in Blues onesies
for a commercial.
Glenn, who hit all the big notes as he does, was given a huge ovation by fans in attendance.
