St. Louis Blues goaltender Jake Allen was pulled from Game 6 of the Western Conference First Round series at Xcel Energy Center on Sunday after the Minnesota Wild took a 2-0 lead with 8:41 left in the second period.

Brian Elliott replaced Allen after Wild forward Justin Fontaine scored on a wrist shot through Allen's five-hole from the right hash marks.

The Blues trail the Wild 3-2 in the best-of-7 series. A Wild win would send them into a Western Conference Second Round series against the Chicago Blackhawks. A Blues win would force a Game 7 on April 29.

Allen was 2-3 in the series with a 2.03 goals-against average and .911 save percentage entering Sunday.
