Blue Jackets sign Dansk to entry-level contract @NHLdotcom

The Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday signed goaltender Oscar Dansk to a three-year entry-level contract. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Dansk, 20, was a second-round pick (No. 31) by the Blue Jackets in the 2012 NHL Draft.

Dansk, a native of Tumba, Sweden, has spent the past two seasons with the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League, compiling a 40-32-7 record with a 3.25 goals-against average, .897 save percentage and six shutouts in 85 appearances.

He was the co-winner, alongside fellow Otter Devin Williams, of the Dave Pinkney Trophy for Top Team Goaltending in 2013-14 after Erie allowed a league-low 170 goals in 68 games en route to posting franchise records for wins (52) and points (106) in a season.

Dansk earned Top Goaltender honors at the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship after posting five wins, a 1.79 GAA and .928 save percentage in helping Sweden win a silver medal. He also won silver with Sweden at the 2012 IIHF World U18 Championships, recording a 1.98 GAA and .937 save percentage in five appearances.

* The Edmonton Oilers agreed to terms with center Bogdan Yakimov on a three-year entry level contract. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Yakimov, 19, scored seven goals and 12 points in 33 games this season with Nizhnekamsk in the Kontinental Hockey League. A third-round pick (No. 83) in 2013, he also spent time with the Reaktor Nizhnelamsk junior team, where he had four goals and six points in five regular-season games, as well as adding one assist in two playoff games.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound center played for Russia at the 2014 World Junior Championship, recording a goal and an assist in seven games.

* The Ottawa Senators signed defenseman Mikael Wikstrand to a three-year entry-level contract. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Wikstrand, 20, was a seventh-round pick (No. 196) in 2012, and is scheduled to attend the Senators' annual development camp in July.

A native of Karlstad, Sweden, Wikstrand split the 2013-14 season between Mora of Sweden's Allsvenskan league and Frölunda of the Swedish Hockey League (formally the Elitserien).

Wikstrand scored four goals and 11 points in 19 regular-season games with Frölunda. He added a goal and an assist in seven postseason games. He also scored four goals and 20 points to rank third among Mora (Allsvenskan) defensemen in scoring.

Wikstrand helped his native Sweden earn a silver medal at the 2013 World Junior Championship, registering four assists in six games.

* The Phoenix Coyotes signed goaltender Marek Langhamer to a three-year entry-level contract. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Langhamer, 19, was a seventh-round pick (No. 184) in 2012 and has played the past two seasons for the Medicine Hat Tigers in the Western Hockey League.

Langhamer posted a 23-14-3 record with a 2.58 goals against average and a .913 save percentage in 40 regular-season games this season. He finished seventh in the league in GAA and 10th in save percentage. He also posted a 9-8-1 record with a 2.35 GAA and a .934 save percentage in 18 postseason games.
