Blue Jackets plan no changes to Game 4 lineup

by Craig Merz

COLUMBUS -- Rookie defenseman Ryan Murray will be in the Columbus Blue Jackets lineup Wednesday for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference First Round series even though he left the morning skate early, coach Todd Richards said.

Murray underwent arthroscopic knee surgery March 7 and missed 15 games before returning April 4 against the Chicago Blackhawks. He played five more games, then sat the regular season finale April 12 against the Florida Panthers as a precaution.

He has played the first three games of the Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Pittsburgh Penguins and has one assist while averaging 25:18 minutes of ice time.

Game 4 is 7 p.m. ET at Nationwide Arena (NBCSN, CBC, RDS, FS-O, ROOT).

Richards said the lineup will be the same as the 4-3 loss in Game 3 Monday that gave the Penguins a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series. That means defenseman Fedor Tyutin, injured in Game 2, will miss a second straight game.

Pittsburgh coach Dan Bylsma did not reveal his lineup, but in the morning skate Lee Stempniak was moved from the third line to the first to play right wing with center Sidney Crosby and left wing Chris Kunitz.

Beau Bennett dropped from the first to the third line. He was on the left with Brandon Sutter in the middle and Jayson Megna on the right.

Bylsma said he hoped center Marcel Goc, who sustained an ankle injury March 27, will be available soon.

"It's a possibility," Bylsma said. "I'd like to see him play in round one."

Center Brian Gibbons will not play after being injured in Game 2 and missing the next game.
