PITTSBURGH (AP) - Rick Nash is still a member of the Blue Jackets. At least for the moment.
Columbus opted to hold onto its longtime captain during the NHL draft this weekend despite speculation the club could trade the nine-year veteran as part of a rebuilding process.
Nash has spent his entire career in Columbus and finished with 30 goals and 29 assists during the 2011-12 season. General manager Scott Howson says the team did not receive an offer for Nash during the draft.
The Blue Jackets did trade for Philadelphia goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky on Friday and added a pair of goaltenders through the draft Saturday. Columbus grabbed Oscar Dansk with the first pick of the second round and Joonas Korpisalo with the first pick of the third.
