The Columbus Blue Jackets are celebrating the season of giving with charitable opportunities that include a game-night toy drive and holiday-themed fundraisers.

Toy Collection (Dec. 5) - The Blue Jackets, in partnership with WBNS-10TV, are asking fans to support The Salvation Army of Central Ohio's efforts to brighten the holidays for local families in need by donating toys at Nationwide Arena on Thursday, December 5 when the Blue Jackets host the New York Rangers. Game time is 7 p.m.
RSVP TO THE BIG 10TV TOY DRIVE
Before the game, donations of new, unwrapped toys will be accepted by volunteers on the Front St. and McConnell Blvd. plazas outside the arena entrances. All toys collected will be donated to the Salvation Army of Central Ohio's Christmas Cheer program. Fans who donate that night will receive a voucher redeemable for a pair of complimentary tickets to an upcoming game.
For those unable to make it to the game, toy donations will be accepted now through December 12 at the FOX Sports Ohio Blue Line stores at Nationwide Arena, The Mall at Tuttle Crossing and the new location at Polaris Fashion Place. OhioHealth Chiller Ice Rinks will also serve as collection points. Additionally, donors may drop off toys at the "Big 10TV Toy Parade" at the 10TV studios (770 Twin Rivers Dr., Columbus, OH 43215) on Friday, December 6 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Player-designed holiday cards - Back by popular demand, the Lady Jackets present the sale of holiday cards featuring player-painted art. This year, 23 players and Stinger contributed their artistic talents for the fundraiser that benefits Lady Jackets charitable initiatives. Each 12-card set is priced at $25. The limited-edition collections will be available on the Blue Jackets Foundation's auction platform,

, starting Thursday, November 28 at 5 p.m. and at the CBJ Foundation game-night kiosk at Nationwide Arena beginning Friday, November 29. The cards are based on original paintings that will be available via auction mid-December with further details to be announced.
Santa Stinger Photos (Nov. 29, Dec. 16, 19 and 21) - For a $10 donation to the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation, fans attending the designated home games may have a
photo taken with Santa Stinger
. The photo station, located near section 116/117 on the main concourse, will be open pre-game and at intermissions. A printed copy and access to a digital version will be provided.
Salvation Army Red Kettles (Nov. 29, Dec. 5, 19 and 21) - Fans entering Nationwide Arena on these select nights will notice bell-ringing volunteers accepting donations at Salvation Army's signature red kettles located on the plazas.
