Blades uphold perfect home record with 4-1 win over Cougars @NHLdotcom

SASKATOON - The Saskatoon Blades (4-1-0-0) maintained their unbeaten record on home ice, beating the Prince George Cougars (2-2-0-1) at the Credit Union Centre 4-1.

Matej Stransky lit the lamp twice, while Darren Dietz, Duncan Siemens and Jake Trask all converted for single points for Saskatoon.

The Blades power play was efficient, accounting for two of their goals.

Dietz opened the scoring for the Blades in the dying minutes of the first period, beating Cougars? goaltender, Drew Owsley.

The Cougars lone goal was potted by new forward, Jordan Tkatch.

Blades netminder, Andrey Makarov was near perfect, turning away 26 of 27 shots on goal.
